Can Browns Exceed Their 2026 Projected Win Total?
Andrew Berry's youth movement faces skepticism from the major betting sportsbooks. If the Cleveland Browns are going to exceed their projected 2026 win total, a lot must go right.

Andrew Berry continues to say that the Browns might be young, but that young doesn't necessarily equal bad, that he thinks they can exceed expectations despite the fact that they're a young football team.
And I understand what he's saying.
If you go back and you look at the numbers, there are a number of teams.
The Seattle Seahawks last year were sixth in terms of young-- the average age of the roster.
The year before that, the Eagles were sixth.
There were six teams in the top 10 last year in terms of younger, the youngest average age that made the playoffs last year.
So in theory, yes, you can be young, you can still win a lot of games, you can still have a lot of success.
But I also think a team like Seattle had a, a youth in th- that, that had experience.
They had guys like Jackson, Smith, and Jigbu who's been in the league for a while.
They had a quarterback who kind of tied it all together.
And for the Browns this year, I just think there's so much rawness.
There's so much new.
There's new head coa-- There's a new head coach with first-time coordinators all around him, and he's a first-time head coach himself.
There's a lot of young rookies that are gonna have to learn the game and get up to speed quickly.
There's still a class from last year that, yes, it was really good, but that is even still developing and growing themselves.
There's just gonna be a lot that has to go right if this team's gonna exceed those expectations and end up, as Andrew Berry has kind of said, as a team that might be young but actually not bad.
Ultimately, young does also mean that you're l- you lack experience.
And that, that doesn't necessarily mean it can't come together.
But in the instance of the Browns, that experience factor is going to matter.
I, I-- If, if they had a quarterback that kind of tied this all together, I'd feel differently, but that's where this really all starts.
They need competent to above average quarterback play for any of this to work the way that they, they hope it can.
And I don't know that they're going to get that.
And then that's on top of everything else that I just mentioned.
So Vegas kind of has settled in at the Browns number being around six to seven, six and a half.
I think that's probably pretty fair.
If they're gonna be on the higher end of that, if you're somebody who wants to bet the Browns to win more games than six and a, than, to o-over six and a half, then I think there's just a lot that has to go right.
I think there's just a lot that has to come together quickly, and obviously they need that quarterback play to be up to par.
I don't know if we can count on that.
