Analyst: Browns' Best-Case Scenario in 2026 on Offense Involves Shedeur Sanders

Do you agree with this take about the Cleveland Browns and Shedeur Sanders?

Video Transcript

Nfl analyst Christopher Knox of Bleacher Report believes the Cleveland Browns' best-case scenario in 2026 on offense involves second-year quarterback shooter Sanders.

Knox wants to see Sanders win the QB one job over Deshaun Watson and run with it.

Sanders finished his rookie season with fourteen hundred passing yards, seven passing touchdowns, and ten interceptions.

He also had one rushing touchdown and went three and four as a starter.

The Browns are going to use training camp and preseason action to determine who will start week one against the Jacksonville Jaguars.

it looks like both Watson and Sanders had, decent OTAs.

multiple reports have said that Sanders has looked more poised, compared to his rookie season.

The Browns went five and twelve last year.

Todd Monken is the new head coach, and he has said good things about both Watson and Sanders.

So it looks like he's playing, it close to the vest in terms of who he wants his starter to be.

But I agree with Knox here.

I think the best-case scenario for the Browns next season is Sanders playing well, taking the reins, from Watson in terms of who will be the starter, and then therefore the Browns won't have to draft a quarterback in the 2027 draft.

Obviously, Cleveland has been looking for a franchise quarterback for so long.

only time will tell if Sanders is that guy or if Cleveland struggles again in 2026 and has to take a quarterback in the 2027 draft.
