Browns' Shedeur Sanders, Deshaun Watson Work Out Together Amid QB1 Battle

There is no beef between Shedeur Sanders and Deshaun Watson.

Video Transcript

Pro Football Focus recently shed light on just how bad the Cleveland Browns' quarterback room is.

Deshaun Watson is ranked 32 out of 32 among starting quarterbacks.

From 2022 to 2024, Watson recorded a 60.7 Pro Football Focus passing grade while averaging just six yards per attempt.

Since making his Browns debut, Watson has posted a 33.1 total QBR.

That's the lowest among qualified passers.

Now, if Shadur Sanders beats Deshaun Watson in the Cleveland Browns' quarterback battle, he's going to have to play a lot better than he did last year because Sanders is 42.3 Pro Football Focus passing grade, ranked second worst among 43 qualifying quarterbacks from last season.

It's going to be very, very interesting to see who Todd Monken trots out there week one against the Jaguars.

The Browns are going to use training camp and preseason to determine who the starting quarterback will be.

I'm a pretty optimistic person in life, but I don't think Watson or Sanders is going to play well in 2026.

But that actually might be good for Cleveland.

Many people around the NFL believe that they are best suited to have a bad record again in 2026 so that they can have one of the top picks in the 2027 draft and maybe get Arch Manning or John T. Moore.

So Cleveland fans, it might be another tough 2026 season, but there could be a light at the end of the tunnel.
