A big win for the Giants and a much needed win after a disappointing outing yesterday.
Joining us now live at Oracle Park is Bryce Eldridge, one of the key members of this team in getting this one done.
You had a big double tonight.
Bryce, thanks so much for joining us.
I guess just what was working for you at the plate and for the group as you were able to get a couple runs going, really behind Raffi Devers with a big swing?
Yeah, first of all, s- first of all, I just wanna say I feel like an imposter right now.
Raffi had a heck of a day.
I don't know where he is, but I guess I was the backup, so.
Get him over here for us.
You wanna do this?
no, but yeah.
The boys came out- No swinging today.
Raffi had a heck of a day, like I said.
Webby shoved it like he always does, and the boys played defense behind him.
Hey, Eldridge, this is Sergio Romo talking.
What's it like going out there, playing behind, well, I mean, you DH today, but watching Logan Webb do what he did for this team today, this team needing to find ways to win.
He didn't give up any free passes, really.
He didn't give any free looks, and when you guys got on base, he stepped up, made the key pitches.
What was it like watching him do what he did in a, what was seemingly a packed crowd?
Yeah, it was.
Shout out to fans for showing out tonight.
a lot of respect for them.
yeah, Webby's the ultimate competitor.
every time he goes out there, you know you got a really good chance to win, and he showed why he's, he's the man here and he's the ace.
And, I'm just I'm happy for him.
You know, he, he does the same thing every time he goes out there.
He works quick, he gets outs, and, it's, it's fun playing behind him and, and watching him work.
Bryce, I know we talked to you early on in June.
You had an unbelievable hot streak that's cooled off a little bit.
Again, a big hit tonight.
But I'm just curious as a young player, like, how do you weather some of the ups and downs of the big league level?
How have you managed to say, stay so locked in in your approach?
Yeah, I think just trusting in my routine.
trusting in the work that I'm putting in.
every day, you know, is a new opportunity.
And, yeah, I mean, I, I still feel confident up there.
I still feel like, feel like I'm the best version of myself, but this game's full of ups and downs.
So the more you can kind of stay level-headed mentally, which I think I've been doing very well, you know, I have no doubt that things are gonna heat up again, and I'm just glad I could'a, you know, got a big hit and scored a run for the team today.
That's right.
You just seem so mature.
Are you sure you're only 21?
I think so.
You might wanna get to my mom with that.
I don't know.
Yeah.
All right, we gotta check the birth certificate.
Better safe than sorry.
I'm just saying.
Well, thank you so much.
Appreciate the time, and congrats.
Thank you.
Thank you.
