Carlos Mendoza on his ejection, Francisco Alvarez and Kodai Senga talk rough first inning in Mets loss
Mets manager Carlos Mendoza shed some light on his ejection in the seventh inning, his dissatisfaction with home plate umpire Carlos Torres' strike zone the main culprit in a 5-3 loss. Mendoza was also clearly not pleased with Kodai Senga 's first inning in which he allowed four runs. Francisco Alvarez expressed much more optimism, saying it was his best stuff of the season after the rough beginning. Senga hopes that being able to pull things together after a rocky first inning will earn him another opportunity.
