All right, so the reports out of Chiefs camp about the performance of the wide receiver room thus far are not great, but we do need to invoke some inspiration from one aging veteran NFL quarterback.
Relax.
It is the literal definition of lot of ballgame left, and while you wish that Rashee Rice was fully healthy, and you wish that Tyquan Thornton was not dropping passes, as noted by Nate Taylor in this notebook from Chiefs camp, it is still very early.
And the fact that Cyrus Allen is taking advantage of some of his opportunities and creating some chemistry with Patrick Mahomes, as was noted by Andy Reid, should be considered a good thing.
It's not like Tyreek Hill is gonna be walking through this door to save this wide receiver room either.
Now, maybe Tyreek Hill at some point ends up signing with a team and coming back, but he's not gonna be the Tyreek Hill that you were accustomed to seeing in Kansas City before he got traded to the Dolphins.
That means this group has to just keep stacking days.
You've got Andy Reid, you've got Travis Kelce, you've got Patrick Mahomes, you've got a lot of bodies in that wide receiver room.
