How Closely Should Team Canada Be Watching Zach Hyman?
Doug Armstrong sat somewhere in Rogers Place Sunday night, watching Zach Hyman score twice and rack up three points against his St. Louis Blues. As Team Canada's General Manager for the upcoming Olympics, Armstrong's seen plenty of hockey. But watching Hyman—a player who didn't make the Olympic roster—put on a clinic alongside Connor McDavid had to make him think, even if just for a second: should we be watching this guy more closely?

No-move clause kicked in July 1st.
If you were considering trading him, you should have traded JT Miller.
Clear the way for him.
It didn't work at the end of the year.
You should have traded him before July 1.
Now he has control over the situation.
Now he can say, "I'm only gonna go where I wanna go," limiting what Allvin can do.
And Rutherford can get in a trade.
Now, you know, They're holding out for a first-round pick for Kiefer Sherwood.
Um, I don't think they're gonna get that, 'cause, uh, You know, I think he's a good player, and a nice piece for a contending team.
But I don't know if a team is willing to give up a number one for him.
As for Pettersson, the rumor out there is the Detroit Red Wings.
Um, now, uh, Steve Yzerman is going to have to step off what he was not willing A deal for Quinn Hughes, uh, that reportedly was Simon Edmonson.
Vancouver will expect a piece or two ready to step into the NHL for a Guy who conceivably is a number one center, but he only has 28 points right now.
And he clearly doesn't like what's going on in Vancouver.
So, Rutherford and Allvin are operating from a point of weakness.
