Conor McGregor Claims UFC Contract is Void with New Paramount Broadcast Deal

Conor McGregor said he plans to enter UFC contract negotiations in February, citing a new Paramount broadcast deal that removes pay-per-view points. He said the shift voids his pay-per-view–based terms and will require a reworked agreement. The former two-division champion referenced the Paramount deal while discussing his UFC contract and the end of pay-per-view points. McGregor also reiterated interest in the proposed UFC White House card, which has not been confirmed. Under the Paramount arrangement, all numbered UFC events are slated to be available via subscription at no additional cost. McGregor has not fought since July 2021, withdrew from UFC 303 in June 2024 with a broken toe, and Dana White has dismissed revisiting a Michael Chandler matchup.
