Could Arch Manning Succeed Dak Prescott? Kiper Ranks Him 24th for 2027 Draft
Mel Kiper Jr.'s updated 2027 NFL Draft rankings put Texas quarterback Arch Manning 24th overall. That raises the question of whether the Dallas Cowboys could take him as Dak Prescott's successor. Kiper has five quarterbacks ahead of Manning, who was once often mentioned as a likely top five pick. Through five games of the 2026 season, Prescott has 1,381 passing yards, nine touchdowns and three interceptions while completing just over 67% of his passes. Dallas still enters Week 6 at 2-3, with its defense a major reason. Prescott earns $60 million a year and has two years left on his deal, with an exit option before 2028. That could give a drafted Manning time to learn behind him before taking over.
