Could the Yankees call up George Lombard Jr. to play shortstop, then make Jazz Chisholm Jr. and Anthony Volpe a second base platoon?

I have Lombard coming up and being our shortstop.

There's nothing available shortstop-wise across baseball.

Like, maybe people wanna hear about CJ Abrams.

A, I don't think he's available.

B, I don't think the Yankees would play him at shortstop.

Lombard supposedly can pick it.

We don't fully know yet, but that's been the scouting report.

I have Lombard coming up being the shortstop.

I have Volpe actually playing some second base- Oh and being the platoon with Jazz.

If you're gonna call up Lombard, which you think that's in play, I mean, what are we doing?

I think they platoon Lombard at third before doing that.

Maybe.

But they're already platooning Jazz sometimes, and- I just don't think they're gonna play Volpe at second.

I, I mean, I understand why you're saying that.

But of, as looking through trades and other realities, I think that's in play.

And hey, you know, McMahon's obviously not invincible, that could you see a Caballero Volpe Lombard?

But is that Volpe being around two shortstop that are better than him at shortstop?
