The Cowboys missed their chance to trade for a Superstar defensive player
Mau Rodriguez discusses the Dallas Cowboys not trading for Cleveland Browns DE Myles Garrett and how it was a missed opportunity. Dallas is in need of a star pass rusher, and with a Hall of Fame name like that available, they should have taken a shot.

The number one way to look at it is wonder, why did the Cowboys not pull the trigger on a move like this?
This whole thing about the Browns being like, "Oh, we were not gonna do this, but then the Rams convinced us," that's all BS.
The moment they pushed back the option money on the Garrett deal, it was pretty evident that they were very open to trading him, and that's what they did.
So you can wonder why the Cowboys did not do it.
I do think the package that the Browns got for Garrett is something the Cowboys wouldn't have been able to do.
I mean, in theory, they could've, but having Garrett Bears, a standout young edge rusher, be a part of the deal really helped set apart the Rams, I believe.
the other way you can look at this is, damn it, the Cowboys path to getting a winning record and getting into the postseason gets a little bit tougher, 'cause you do face the Rams in December, and good luck blocking Myles Garrett with your current offensive tackle room that features Tyler Guyton and Terence Steele.
