Cubs Enter Uncharted Territory With Another Walk-Off
The Cubs recorded their 13th walk-off of the season Tuesday night against the White Sox, moving one away from the franchise record with 17 home games still remaining.

Another day, another walk-off for the Chicago Cubs.
It was Pete Crow-Armstrong, the hero on Monday night with a walk-off home run in the 10th inning.
And it was another come-from-behind win for the Cubs against the White Sox.
On Tuesday, the Cubs tied the game in the bottom of the seventh.
Then after a rain delay that lasted about an hour and a half, Alex Bregman, the hero with two outs in the ninth inning, a walk-off single against White Sox relief pitcher Trevor Richards.
Bregman now five hits in the series, .317 batting average with eight home runs and a .977 OPS over his last 31 games.
And the Cubs starting to look like the team that everybody envisioned before the season.
This was what Jed Hoyer had in mind.
This is what Cubs fans had in mind when they looked at this roster and this team.
Now, one thing that's becoming abundantly clear is that the Cubs are never out of a game.
And if there's one reason to be encouraged about this team's playoff chances, that's it.
If they're in a close game late, they will probably walk you off.
If you give them the chance, they will.
Bregman's single on Tuesday night was the team's 13th walk-off of the season, making the Cubs the first team since 2022 to have 13 or more walk-offs in a year.
The all-time record, 18, the 1959 Pittsburgh Pirates.
It's been, nearly 50 years since somebody even had 16 in a season.
So the Cubs need just three more to get to that mark.
They're one off of the Cubs franchise record, still with 17 home games to go.
So entering a bit of uncharted territory, and Clay Holmes takes the mound for the Cubs for another home game and another date with the White Sox on Wednesday afternoon as they look to sweep the series and secure a season series victory over the crosstown rival.
But it's been an exciting couple of nights at Wrigley, and two Cubs wins in walk-off fashion both times, thanks to PCA and then Alex Bregman.
