David Stearns talks Kodai Senga’s success as a Mets reliever
Mets president of baseball operations David Stearns met the media on Monday at Citi Field, and addressed the work done by Kodai Senga out of the bullpen.

David, what is your evaluation of Kody Senga in a shortening role been so far?
I think Kody's done a great job.
He's adjusted very well, and it's not just in the performance that we're seeing when he goes out there, it's also in how he's getting ready for those performances.
It's not a, not the easiest transition to make.
But he's shortened up his routine, he's getting ready very fast.
He, he's able We're at the point where Andy's able to use him as a normal relief pitcher, and that's happened really fast, and that's, that's a credit to Kody.
As you sort of evaluate maybe his, his future, just what more would you like to see from him in that role as he gets more comfortable in it?
I, I think less of evaluating his future and just, excited for him that he's doing this right now.
And, it's great to see.
And, and then from a future perspective, we'll, we'll take that later.
