The Seattle Seahawks had a blueprint, and they followed it to the letter.
The Seahawks bully the Patriots in the Super Bowl, defeating New England twenty-nine to thirteen, and do so with a defense-wins-championships piece of proof.
Seattle defense forces three turnovers, scores a touchdown on defense on an interception return, gets special team work from Jason Myers, sets a Super Bowl record with five made field goals.
And along the way, New England denied a seventh Super Bowl win, with Kenneth Walker dominating on the ground, hundred and thirty-five yards, and in the air, too, with twenty-six more as a receiver, with help from the game management of the quarterback Sam Darnold.
This Seahawks defense put on an absolute clinic here, as it did all season.
And the reward now, the Vince Lombardi Trophy, after a thorough and complete and dominant victory for young coach Mike McDonald's Seattle Seahawks squad.
