Ah, there he is, Cooper Kupp.
He got the last laugh.
He sure did.
Ooh!
Atta boy.
He's got He's, he's showing that.
He's going, "Hey, hey, LA, you see this right here?"
"Hey, Rams, yeah, we're the champs.
I had a few catches in this game.
How about that?"
But- And Chris- ... but- Grew up a Seahawks fan.
Grew up a Seahawks fan.
Oh, yeah.
I mean, it really, it's storybook.
Yeah.
And then to be here today in the 49ers' stadium, the Seahawks took over the stadium.
They did.
Right?
No disrespect to the great fan base of the New England Patriots, certainly, but it's like, it kind of felt like they were like, "Nah, we're not going across the country, and eh, I don't know if we think we're gonna win this one."
It was about 80% Seahawks.
So added up.
Yeah.
It felt all that.
It felt all that.
I, I know Dev has the New England allegiance, but, but Seattle to me was such a likable team.
I agree.
Like, like, I love- He knew that, too.
I loved Schneider- I do like Seattle.
Jim.
I love their head coach.
I love Sam Darnold, their defense.
There's so many guys, it's easy to pull for.
I picked Seattle to win the division this year.
Yeah, you said it before the year, their, their secondary was the best secondary in football.
Yeah.
So I'll, I'll back you up.
Oh, I appreciate that.
You've been recognizing that Seattle defense, for sure.
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah.
But you talk about likable guys, and I was up there, my assignment was to go interview those guys last week, and you couldn't get any of their players to talk about themself.
Yeah.
If you talked to JSN, you talked to Cooper Kupp, Ernest Jones, DeMarcus Lawrence, it's all, "Our guys, my group, the receiver room- Yeah ... Sam," They're You know, everybody's talking about other guys.
And I'm, I'm interviewing you, I wanna get some good stuff about you.
Yeah, But no, I, I, I got teammates, and it was, it is a beautiful- Yeah.
Well, we were in Seattle together that day, and I came away, and I would tell my- Yeah ... told my family this, I just, when I left, I kind of felt like, man, Seattle- Yep ... Seattle, I just felt like they felt like they were- Yep ... the Super Bowl winning team.
And I think sometimes that's the difference.
I think New England- Yeah ... was happy.
Right.
Right?
Yeah.
There, there was this gap, and it was like, "Man, will we ever get back there?"
When I was in New England, it was expected.
You had- Oh, yeah ... to get to the Super Bowl, and you had to win it if you wanted to be considered just a good team.
Yeah.
If you wanted to be great, you had to go get three like the other regime.
It was ridiculous.
And then you would win, and people would be like- I hated- ... "All right, celebrate.
Tomorrow, we go to work."
I hated Rodney and those guys.
Yeah.
I was like, "We suck every year-' ... " 'cause we're not them."
Yeah.
But I- this New England team was like, "Oh, my goodness.
Yeah.
We have four wins back to back season, we're back in it."
It was a difference when you like- Yeah ... "Hey, we don't know if we're gonna be back- Yeah ... but we're gonna go win this right now."
And I think like you said, Seattle had that feeling.
No doubt about it.
Hey, we're 50 m- 50 seconds after the football game, and you just saw there the DraftKings odds- ... for the Super Bowl for next year.
Right?
So of course, in those odds, here you go, Seahawks and Rams, everybody loves that.
Bills changed the head coach, it doesn't matter.
Doesn't matter.
They're third.
Who cares?
Eagles found a c- offensive coordinator- Eagles finally found their own there ... so they're in there.
The Patriots are fifth there, but regardless, those are our DraftKing Super Bowl odds.
Anything jump out to you guys there?
Anything more you wanna hit on as we come down to the last few seconds of the show?
You know, I'd love to hit on the, the Seattle coaching staff.
Mike McDonald, great job- Yeah ... but Clint Kubiak, phenomenal.
Apparently, he's gonna be the head coach of the Raiders now.
He's going to the Raiders.
He'll do a great job there.
What do, what does Seattle do, though?
you know, I think you find someone from that same tree.
Right.
Mm-hmm.
And, and you said it, coach, Mike did such a good job changing out the coordinator and bringing Clint there, 'cause he wanted to play a certain kind of style.
I think he'll find someone to continue that approach.
Close us out, Simpson.
All right.
Hey, we gotta get out of here.
I've been in this place for eight days, all right?
It's Super Bowl 60, it's a wrap.
Seattle Seahawks, Super Bowl champions.
What's a wrap for NBC at the Super Bowl.
We'll see you during the week.
Go ahead.
