Denver Broncos head coach Sean Payton had very kind words for Detroit Lions head coach, Dan Campbell.
I'm John McAroon, Detroit Lions NSI, appearing on the Trey Wingo Network, the longtime veteran NFL head coach, talked about Dan Campbell and indicated that when he saw the comments and read that.
A coach said that OTAs were like a pajama party.
He indicated he probably knew it was Dan Campbell because of the fact that when Dan was a player who Sean Payton coached with 3 different teams and also worked with Dan Campbell with the Saints, where Peyton was the head coach, and Dan was the assistant head coach and the tight ends coach.
Sean said that look, for a blocking physical tight end, OTAs where pads are not allowed to be donned, is not a time that Dan Campbell would definitely be fond of.
The physical blocking tight end definitely wants to um be focused on blocking, hitting, the violence of the game.
So this time of year might not be the favorite for Dan Campbell, shed a little bit more insight into Dan Campbell's thought process, but also gave.
To Trey Wingo and discuss why many people believe that Dan Campbell is one of the top NFL coaches, his ability to relate to players, his brutal honesty, his willingness to um take accountability for things that are going right and wrong with the team.
And so players clearly have gravitated toward Dan Campbell, a former NFL player who understands the wear and Tear of playing NFL football at that level, playing a physical style.
So, Dan Campbell, I think for the Detroit Lions is a perfect fit.
And now, in his sixth year, the expectations are where they need to be.
It's a Super Bowl or bust team, and Dan Campbell and the roster all have to take a step forward in 2026, especially after a season last year where the team, the Detroit Lions, did not make the postseason.
