I'm amazed it's only a fifth-round pick.

They had no run game last year.
Right, they needed a running game.
Bad.
A fifth-round pick, I thought you'd get more for Dave Montgomery.
Tough part is- I know Gibbs' guy got the big, wood coming in this year, so- And I, and I think that's why it's only a fifth.
NFL, because of the hard cap and the way it works is, they know, okay, well, I You gotta take a fifth or we wait till you inevitably have to cut him 'cause you can't afford him.
Yeah.
'Cause he's got two years left on his deal.
So I think a fifth is good considering if this got to Jude, they can't afford him.
Yeah, that's true.
With what, with what- And it's very rare to have a two-headed monster even in Seattle.

I know the Giants have a lot of interest in him.

but it's interesting that two running backs typically don't work.
Now, Seattle had great success with it.

but now both guys get to be the man.

So Montgomery becomes expendable.

the Houston Texans obviously need a star running back- Yeah they- to help that offense out.
Yeah.
'Cause that's been their problem.
They cannot run the ball.
They can't run the ball.
Their offensive line also stinks.
Um- And apparently they're gonna address that as well if I give C.J.
Stroud a running game, and maybe C.J.
Stroud rediscovers what he was as a rookie.
Yeah.
Because it's gone slowly and then v- very quickly downhill, for C.J.
Stroud performance-wise.
But I think, good move for the Texans.
I don't quite get it other than money from the Detroit Lions, and that's a team that desperately has to get back into the playoffs next year
