Did you have any reaction to the stuff that came out yesterday about Kazul's situation?
It's complicated.
You know, I don't know what's going on with Marty mentally.
All we can do as players is kinda just move on here and, you know, play the games that we needed to in Boston.
You know, I, I think the biggest thing is, like, just getting him right physically and then, you know, I don't know what he's going through mentally, but, to, you know, for us to go where we wanna go, we gotta have him here.
You know, it's, it's disappointing how, you know, the things that happened, happened.
You know, there's really no explanation for it, but, you know, we've got 30-some games left here and, hopefully we can get him back here and, you know, give us a nice little push into the playoffs.
Are you expecting an explanation from him at some point I guess, but- I think it'd be nice to hear it for sure.
You know, I think a lot of players are kind of frustrated with how, how it just happened.
But, yeah, I, I think first and foremost it's him getting his knee right and mentally being in a good place to where he can come back and help contribute, so.
Kevin, how big of a distraction is it?
Just, you know, when you're hearing all this stuff and everything that's happening and you guys are on the playoff push.
Yeah.
Yeah.
It's gotten some national attention.
And I think at the end of the day it comes back to the guys in the clubhouse.
The leaders that, you know, show up every day and, and do what they're supposed to do and, you know, everybody else kind of feeding off them.
So, you know, I think for us it's handling business.
I think, you know, I know for me I'm happy to be back home.
And I know a lot of guys are and so, you know, we got a big series against the Reds and then the Cubs coming up here, so, I think it's nice to kinda get back home and reset.
Is it, is it more frustrating for you guys after what happened at the break last year?
Yeah.
I wasn't, I wasn't around during that time when, when that stuff came out.
I know, you know, I kind of left some players kinda questioning what was going on but, you know, at the end of the day, you know, everybody has their own, you know, objectives and stuff and people have stuff going on off the field that we kinda have to push through and, I think it's important for us to rely on each other, if there is some stuff going on off the field that, you know, we can fall back on.
But, at the end of the day, it's a long season.
I know we have a job to do but, there's things that, you know, sometimes take you away from the game mentally and it's all about, kind of falling back on one another like I said.
