Dodgers vs. Brewers Game Preview: A Tight Contest Awaits
The Dodgers and Brewers engaged in a close game last night that saw Milwaukee win 5-4. They look to make it two in a row tonight against the LA Dodgers.

The series I thought heading into the weekend was the Dodgers and the Brewers.
It did not disappoint last night, Greg.
Although Diaz and that bullpen, ooh, that was ugly again, Dodgers.
But the Brewers being the Brewers, figuring out ways to be able to scrape out, you know, get Being scrappy, and it wasn't the long ball this time that did Diaz or the Dodgers in.
It was a bunch of singles, couple of doubles.
Next thing you know, they're up one run heading into the bottom of the ninth inning.
Yeah.
And look, you know, I, I don't know why anybody should be surprised that Diaz would struggle.
I mean, the guy hasn't pitched all season.
Yeah.
You know?
So, But, but, you know, there, there is something to be said, and I do like Dave Roberts, but there's something to be said for, you know, it may be time to pivot just for a bit.
Bring, bring him into some less stressful situations- I agree and use Tanner Scott or use someone else.
Unless, is Tanner Scott hurt?
Am I missing something?
Or they d- they do have some other options, I w- I believe, to get outs in the ninth inning.
But look, they paid Diaz a lot of money.
They gotta get him- I believe they used them all last night.
Look, they, they, they gotta get Tan- They pitched through it they gotta get Edwin Diaz right.
And I understand that they wanna get him right for the postseason.
But look, may- maybe right now is the time to, like, let him ease in a little bit as opposed to using him in the ninth.
I agree.
There's got They have plenty enough arms, in that bullpen to be able to at least weather the storm here and get them right for, once the postseason rolls around.
And they got the right guy on the mound tonight.
Yamamoto, is going here tonight, and that should give at least, going up against Gasser, for the Brewers here.
Listen, the Brewers aren't gonna beat you with a lot of long ball, right?
So can they keep it close enough and low scoring enough where they'll have a chance once that bullpen gets involved again?
But the Brewers did use a lot of their backend of the bullpen last night, holding on to win that game, and win it they did to, to beat the Dodgers.
You know, I was a little iffy on the Brewers here.
They didn't look great against, against the Padres there, and I thought they were down 4-2 heading into the top of the ninth.
And I said, "Well, forget about it.
They're not gonna hit a home run to beat you."
But as it turns out, they didn't need the home run to beat them.
And that is Brewer baseball to a T right now, isn't it?
Yeah.
Brewers just, you know, again, they, they play so many close games.
I, I think if you just took- Oh the Brew- the Brewer, if y- you, you honestly could fade the Brewers a little bit by going plus one and a half on the other team.
Good point.
You're just not gonna win the game, but you're gonna play a lot of close games.
Milwaukee just always keeps it close.
I believe they're at the bottom or near the bottom in terms of home runs this season, but yet they're still just so amazing out of the bullpen.
So Milwaukee just keeps rolling.
They're on pace, Joe, to win, I believe, 98 games or 99 games.
So I mean, they're, they're gonna, they're gonna hit close to 100 this year.
It's really impressive.
