The New York Mets know they are taking an expensive gamble on infielder Bo Bichette after signing him to be the team's third baseman.

At the hot corner.

I mean, it's the hot corner for a reason.

You have less than the blink of an eye to field certain balls.

I mean, he's going to struggle at first.

I mean, if he's, you know, if we're seeing low light clips of Bobochet at third in like July, then I think you rethink things.

But considering, again, it's the end of February, the Mets, this is literally their first spring training game of the year.

I mean, I think you can give Bobochet a little bit of leeway as he learns third base.

I find it kind of funny because personally I'm not a fan of spring training outside of the fact that it's just cool when baseball is back.

But in reality, spring training baseball is terrible and it's mostly just like playing against C teams and minor leaguers and teams have 50 people in their dugout.

So it's like there's not a lot of like substantial evidence you can really formulate in a preseason.

But I mean, it's all right.

You know, I'm not fond of Bobochet because he switched up on Philly, but I don't think he's going to struggle as bad as people are clowning him for.

No, for sure.

I mean, obviously, again, spring training, incredibly low stakes games.

More often than not, guys don't even end up playing the whole game.

But we haven't seen any Major League Baseball since November.

I mean, it could be, you know, the bottom of the barrel guys from each team, and I would still watch it.

And again, I'm just curious to see, like, is this I mean, obviously, the Mets, this isn't going to be the opening day lineup.

But the top three, Simeon leading off, Juan Soto in left, Bobochet at third.

I mean, again, that's a pretty good top three.

Yeah, I'm surprised by the Simeon leading off thing.

Of course, it's like you mentioned, it's a spring training roster or a lineup.

So I'm not expecting this by any means to have any, like, be the end all to, like, just the final lineup.

But it's very interesting.

I'm excited to see how Simeon turns out.

He's definitely looking for a comeback season.

And I can see him doing it.

He's very old, but it'd be interesting to wait and see.
