Shout out to Drake, Drake May-May, who just got tabbed as the eleventh ranked player in the NFL top one hundred by his peers across the NFL going into the twenty twenty-six season.
May was obviously electric last year in what ended up being a runner-up for NFL MVP and helping the Patriots go back to the Super Bowl after what was an abysmal stretch at the end of the Bill Belichick era and the start and, and of the Jerod Mayo era in New England.
May's dual-threat ability and big-time arm and ability to push the ball down the field all have him shining as we go into his third season in the NFL.
And I think the most interesting question for Drake May is this: It's not will Drake May continue to get better or not, but is this the statistical peak that we will see?
Now, you could look no further than also in the AFC East with Josh Allen, and he had his big breakout season despite rapidly improving from his rookie to second year.
Year three for Josh Allen was where the big boom happened that we just saw Drake May have this past season.
Now, Josh has become a more efficient quarterback.
He's become a more dependable quarterback.
But the raw numbers of production have not really touched what we saw in twenty twenty when Josh Allen absolutely exploded.
So for Drake, maybe the touchdowns are up, but the turnovers are up as well.
Maybe the efficiency is up, but the touchdowns end up coming down.
Maybe there's less production with his legs.
Maybe there's a little bit more production with his legs, but less production with his arm.
Maybe the Patriots become a more balanced offense and Drake doesn't need to carry so much of the offense like he did in twenty twenty-five.
That, for me, is the really interesting storyline for the eleventh-ranked player in the NFL, according to his peers, Drake May.
