You know, not really looking at the game, not really analyzing where the Saints were versus, back then to where they were when Tyler Shuck got thrust into the lineup.
The Saints offense was lost in translation and, you know, I'm, I'm a big Spencer Rattler fan.
I have nothing but respect for the guy.
I do feel like, you know, he can end up being a starting quarterback in the league, but the New Orleans Saints look like an entirely different defense I mean, excuse me, offense when he was the starting quarterback.
And, you know, he was able to do some really good things, but he wasn't able to elevate the talent around him.
What we saw with Tyler Shuck, we saw that he was able to elevate the, the talent around him because it wasn't like the New Orleans Saints went out there with Justin Jefferson on one side, Jamar Chase on the other, right?
And then you had Megatron somewhere out there.
Like, the New Orleans Saints had practice squad players, had guys that they signed midway through the season in order for them to be able to be, compliant when it comes to the roster.
Other than Chris Olave you really didn't have too many guys that you can trust consistently to go get it at the wide receiver position.
But he was able to use what he had, using guys like Kevin Austin, using guys like Ronnie Bell, using players like Devon Vealey, where he was the topic of conversation when it came to the Saints, like why did they make a trade with the Denver Broncos for him?
Old, Sean Peyton, he getting the best of the Saints, making the Saints look bad.
He made the, the, the trade that consists of Devon Vealey, he made it look legit.
So when you're talking about a quarterback, there, there are different types.
There's quarterbacks that you, you, you thrust them out there, coach tell him what to do, and he's able to execute, right?
You know, but if you put some pieces around him, you know, the team will look formidable.
But the New Orleans Saints look like a much better version offensively when Tyler Shuck was out there because he was making players that had no business making plays consistently like they did, he relied on them, he trusts them to make plays and they did.
So I just think when you're talking about a quarterback with that type of skill set, you have to be excited about what the future
