And there's one angle that makes a lot of sense for them landing the top overall recruit.

Jalen Brewster has been committed to the Texas Tech Red Raiders since October, and he is the number one overall recruit per the rivals industry ranking in the 2027 recruiting class.

But there's one interesting area where they can really take advantage, and that's the Brendan Sorsby debacle.

Texas Tech's football PR has never been lower.

And the fact that Brewster was on campus when a lot of this stuff was going down, including that embarrassing video put out by the Texas Tech staffers.

Look, the Gators had him and he feels comfortable in Florida per rival Steve Wildfong.

That's going to be a huge aspect.

Can they seal the deal?

It's going to take a lot considering he's going to be at Texas Tech this upcoming weekend.

But never count out a guy like Summerall who has been recruiting at an incredibly high rate.

Plus.

Along with that, the energy around the program is just significantly different.

And even though they got into this recruiting race late with his first visit coming on March 6th and then again during the end of spring practice in April, that official visit means something.

And the Gators could very well flip Brewster if Texas Tech continues this embarrassing debacle with Brendan Sorsby.
