All these guys ended up in good spots, and I do think there was some excitement.
And I heard there was a couple guys in that clubhouse who thought they might be traded to contenders and, and didn't end up being the case, and they were like, "Oh."
You know, I think there I, I saw some columns about this being a rebuild.
I could not disagree more.
I- Really?
Yeah.
I A rebuild is Logan Webb, and a rebuild is eating- A soft rebuild.
A gentle rebuild.
Yeah.
You know, a rebuild's eating a lot of- A deniable rebuild it's, it's a bit of a reset.
It So you can call it a soft rebuild.
Okay.
But it is I don't think it was that, and I think, you know, this is actually just kinda what happens a lot when guys start getting in their arbitration years, which Elliott will be in next year, and you start getting more expensive.
And you look around and you go, "We really like him.
He's a great guy.
He's homegrown.
Could Victor Barraco do 80% of this for, you know, for, like, a, a Major League minimum, or can you go find someone in the off-season?
Or is Bo Davidson or Dakota Jordan or somebody next spring?
Is it Parks Harbor?"
Mm-hmm.
So I do think he just got to a, a situation where he was start- he was going to And this is similar a little bit to Patrick Bailey.
Like, Patrick Bailey was going to start to get a little bit expensive compared to where he's been.
Mm-hmm.
And they went, "Well, we can replace that with, with Suzak," and, I don't think they thought Cavanaugh would be part of that.
But they ultimately kinda have replaced it.
So I think as much as I like Elliott, and I think he's a, a really talented player, I do think they can mostly replicate what he gives them.
E- especially corner outfield.
Like, it, it is just a, a spot that you can put a lot of different guys.
And look, what if Marcelo Mayo ends up being terrific?
Yeah.
And you need All of a sudden we're having this conversation again.
