Giants' Ramos a 'great option' off waiver wire

Giants outfielder Ilio Ramos had an unbelievable game on Monday night, going three for five with two home runs, a triple, and five RBIs in their ten-one route over the Toronto Blue Jays.
But the box score doesn't tell the whole story about how crazy this game was.
As the first batter of the game, he laced a line drive into triples alley at Oracle Park.
After sliding into third base, the Rays threw the relay throw into the dugout, which awarded Ramos home plate for a Little League home run to kick off the game.
Then his final two at-bats, he hit real home runs.
The first one just barely snuck over the big wall in right field at Oracle, but the next one was launched four hundred forty-four feet deep over the left field fence, right by that big Coca-Cola sign.
The home runs like that don't really happen in San Francisco very often.
In fact, this was just the eighth home run by a right-handed batter over the last three years at Oracle that traveled at least four hundred forty feet.
After missing over a month with a quad injury, Ramos has come back and been red-hot.
After this huge game on Monday, he'd now hit safely in seven of eight games since returning with six extra base hits.
The Giants have pushed him up in their order in response to that, as he sit either first or third for them in four consecutive games.
And you might not expect it, but right now, this is a great order to be hitting a top of.
Since May first, the Giants have a top five team-wide OPS in baseball, which doesn't even sound real when you say it out loud, considering how poorly they've played for most of the season.
But nevertheless, right now, Ramos is hitting the ball incredibly hard and is a great spot to be productive.
Just be advised that while his underlying power metrics are in line with his big breakout two thousand twenty-four season, his bat speed is three miles per hour slower.
So while he's readily available at only owned in twenty-six percent of Yahoo leagues, he's a great option off the waiver wire, but don't expect a full-blown savior.
