Guardians’ Chase DeLauter Showing No Signs of Rust Since Injury
Chase Delauter has given the Cleveland Guardians an immediate boost since coming off the injured list.

There certainly were some question marks about how Chase DeLaughter would look after the Cleveland Guardians activated him off the injured list over the weekend.
As he had suffered a rib injury, he still was going to have to play through, and with that can affect a player's swing.
And not only that, but DeLaughter had not seen live at-bat pitching in over two weeks.
But DeLaughter has looked incredible since coming off the injured list and is showing no signs of any rust with that rib injury still being something that he has to deal with.
Since the Guardians activated him, he owns a 385 batting average, 5 for 13, has two doubles and three RBI as well.
And in those three games, DeLaughter has come up in some big moments for the Guardians as well and is swinging-- is hitting the ball harder than he ever has.
On Tuesday night, he ended up hitting a double down the first baseline, which came off the bat at 110 miles an hour, which is the third hardest hit ball of his career.
And then going back to Sunday in that eighth inning, he was really responsible for tying the game and then setting up Rhys Hoskins' go-ahead RBI double as well.
So, DeLaughter has been the boost that the Guardians have needed in this lineup with all the injuries and really inconsistencies from some other m- parts of the lineup as well.
And Stephen Vogt made it clear that this is something that what DeLaughter's doing is incredibly difficult.
He said, "It's really hard.
You take two weeks off, it can mess with your timing, it can mess with your rhythm, but Chase is just an all-natural hitter, and he's just a testament to how hard he worked when he was on the IL, but he's looking really good right now."
As the Guardians continue to look for any sort of offense, DeLaughter swinging a hot bat is certainly something that they need right now.
