The 49ers just beat the Las Vegas Raiders 18-12.
That was a real score in their preseason finale.
The 49ers really couldn't throw the ball because Dajon Stribling didn't play as he shouldn't because he's really good, and Jordan Watkins did play like the whole game and he's really not good.
My goodness, he was like just doing cardio out there in the first half, 3 targets, but they could 3 targets, 1 catch.
For 5 yards.
He got, he got off later in the game against backups, but he showed again that he really couldn't hang against starters.
But I'm not here to talk about Jordan Watkins.
I'm here to talk about the running game.
It was really good.
Kaylen Black, Jordan Watkins, I mean, Kaylen Black has shown already that he's extremely explosive.
He runs really hard like, like a young Frank Gore with speed.
Not that he's better than Frank Gore, but he's, he's terrific.
Jordan James, we finally got a look at him.
And uh he looked excellent.
Um, he can catch the ball, he might be a more complete running back than Kaitlin Black, but all that matters is that both of them are on the team and the Niners actually have a deep running back room for the first time in a long time.
Not necessarily deep wide receiver room, but that's beside the point.
On defense, there's two starting defensive tackles, uh, KJ CJ West and Alfred Collins were just horrendous.
They were so bad.
They couldn't anchor, they couldn't create.
Pushing the pocket, they can't play.
In the regular season.
They, both of them look like they're not in shape.
They got to have Osa Digizua and someone else playing defensive tackle.
I don't know who it is.
Maybe you.
Uh, Jaden Duggar is their favorite rookie on defense, and he did have 10 tackles tonight.
He also missed a few, and they still don't know where they want to play him.
I like him at outside linebacker on the line of scrimmage as a potential blitz threat and a guy who can drop into coverage a little bit.
I don't really like him at inside linebacker, at least not yet.
But you know who I do like?
You know who I love?
You know who my favorite player of all time is?
Eddie Pinheiro , 6 to 6 on field goals, uh, a 59 yarder.
Last year here, Jake Moody had a good preseason game and then certain someone said we all owed him an apology.
Hell no.
Eddie Pinnero is the reason the 49ers made the playoffs last year.
Without him, they wouldn't.
He's one of the 3 or 4 best players on the team, and the 49ers are truly blessed to have him.
They should be thanking.
God or just Jake Moody?
