Jayden Daniels Carted Off With Elbow Injury Against Cowboys, Marcus Mariota Steps In

Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels was carted off the field with an elbow injury sustained near the goal line before halftime against the Dallas Cowboys and has been ruled out for the rest of the game. Daniels battled multiple injuries during the 2025 season, including a left knee sprain, right hamstring injury, and a dislocated left elbow that kept him out of the final three games. In his rookie year, he led Washington to 14 wins and its first NFC Championship Game appearance since 1991. Veteran Marcus Mariota , the No. 2 overall pick in the 2015 draft, will take over at quarterback.
