Jets Coaching Candidates for 2027: McDermott, Tomlin and Three Rising Play Callers

Aaron Glenn is 5-19 through 24 games, and that has the Jets' coaching future under scrutiny. This rundown lays out five possible replacements for 2027. Former Bills coach Sean McDermott, who reached the playoffs with Tyrod Taylor in 2017, and Mike Tomlin lead the experienced options. Ravens offensive coordinator Declan Doyle brings play-calling credentials after his unit kept producing with Lamar Jackson out for three games. Rams OC Nate Scheelhaase and Jaguars OC Grant Udinski complete the list, though neither has called plays in the NFL. With $96.8 million in projected 2027 cap space, three first-round picks, and Breece Hall and Garrett Wilson already on the roster, the job has real appeal.
