The Winnipeg Jets look to build off a domiant victory in Connor Hellebuyck's return when facing the Ottawa Senators in an all-Canadian matchup.

Yeah, it's always gonna be tough if you're the Winnipeg Jets and you lose Connor Hellebuyck, Like, there aren't many teams that rely on their number one goalie as much as Winnipeg does.
So it's not a situation where you feel comfortable with your number two playing a few More games?
It's just not the way they're built.
So, you know, you ask me, how can they get over this?
I, I don't know, it's really about you know, I'm not, I'm not surprised that Hellebuck is maybe trying to force the issue and trying to get Back a little earlier than, um, he's scheduled for.
I guess if I had to pick one guy, you know, why isn't he producing more?
I would say Cole Perfetti, you know, the kid's only got, I think: 2 goals, 2 assists this year.
It's a, It's a guy who was flirting with 20 goals last year and the year before.
I think hes capable of being a 25- to 30 goalscorer.
Its just, You know, I don't want to put the blame on Perfetti for why the Jets aren't playing well, But obviously a couple more goals from him would definitely help.
Devin, who's your pick?
Uh, obviously, Comrie could be it Better, but he's also had some good games as well.
Uh, look, I wasnt a goaltender like you, and I didnt really even play much, You know, play nets in any sport, soccer, hockey, whatever it is.
For some reason, I always stick up for the goalies, and youll notice that on any show That we do together, hopefully in the future, I always stick up for the goalies.
So, Comrie put it in a tough spot.
Definitely some tough results, but its not all on him.
Who has to step up in your eyes for the Jets?
Well, I think the entire group, because that's the thing.
If you watch these games like Connor Hellebuyck, its not gonna go in there in these six goals.
Routes and give up 0.
That's not how they play in front of Connor Hellebusch and, And.
You don't, you know, you don't have, like, Junior goalie in there, who you gotta go out there and block 100 shots.
You got a good goalie in there, but he's not Connor Hellebuyck.
So, everybody needs to come together as one and put together a focused effort and treat it Like a playoff game, and that's hard to do, but you just have to go out there and give him A chance to be good and, you know, play defense Focus and don't give up.
16 shots; probably 12 of them were great A's in the first period, And give him a chance to get on a roll here.
Now, that'swhen I say everybody, step up, he needs to step up as well.
And, you know, find a way to put a good game together, and he has.
Um, but it's a difficult situation.
It's a new situation for Eric Comrie.
But as a group, they need to put, they need to give him the best chance to succeed.
And I don't think they have, uh, the way they've played defensively.
Just as an entire group.
Um, you need to go out there and have a 60 Minutes that everyone feels good about and kind of then take it to the next game and try to let It rolls a little and tries to let Eric settle into the starter's role.
