Jets rookie David Bailey opens up about his first NFL game action
Jets rookie DL David Bailey caught up with SNY's Chelsea Sherrod to talk about his first preseason game action against the Buccaneers on Friday night, and also shared his thoughts Will McDonald, Cade Klubnik, and Mory Bamba.

David, I know you've been having joint practices all week, but how did it feel to be out there getting in some real game action reps?
Yeah, I mean, that was my first NFL, game, and it's definitely gonna be memorable.
Obv- obviously, there's gonna be no experience like that.
Man, having the fans out there was a lot of fun, and playing with my teammates, getting out in that, that environment, that particular environment was a lot of fun.
So, man, it's, it was great.
Yeah.
You obviously draw a lot of attention.
What is it like to see a guy like Will McDonald across from you getting a sack like that?
Dude, it's, it gets me stoked up 'cause Will been, Will's my guy.
Yeah, he's, in the short span that we've known each other, he's taught me so much about pass rushing, and I mean, he's an elite pass rusher, and he's got a great sense of the game.
So, seeing him do what he does, I mean, he does it all the time at practice, so it was really no, no surprise, honestly, seeing him get that sack.
But I was, I was really stoked for him.
I was excited for him.
Cade Clubnik is in the same position as you, a rookie getting some game time reps. What did you see from Cade that you liked?
Do you sense the confidence and the control that he has?
Yeah, I mean, I've, I've, I've kind of sensed it since I played-- I played against him, at Stanford, when he was on Clemson, and, he's always had kind of had that poise and that confidence about him.
And, you know, I was seeing him pre-game, like going through the plays, and you could tell, like, he was really locked in, really in the zone.
And I mean, he's always like that throughout the week, very, very conscious of the way he carries himself, you know, in meetings.
Obv- obviously wouldn't know in meetings, but, like, just around the, the facility.
So yeah, I wasn't really surprised with the success he had today, so.
Lastly for you, I gotta ask you about Maury Bamba.
He was all over the field.
Yeah.
The undrafted rookie.
What did you think about what he was doing out there?
Mo, I mean, I always knew he was gonna do something special, man.
Mo, I remember he was talking about, like, the amount of reps he was gonna get, and I was telling him, like, "Man, like, you're a dog, man.
Like, you're gonna go out there, you're gonna do something great."
So, I mean, I, I r- I remember seeing him, on, on punt, and he just totally torched the two gunners that were that were guarding him, and he made a play, and I was super stoked for him.
So, man, he's a great kid, lots of talent, and I'm looking forward to seeing, his success in the future.
Yeah.
AG said we have to start saying Bamba out, so maybe we'll keep that for Mo.
Yeah, I like that, for sure.
