How Love raised draft ceiling with combine stats

Kyle Dvorchak analyzes Jeremiyah Love's performance at the 2026 NFL Scouting Combine, detailing how the Notre Dame running back raised his ceiling to a top five player in his position.

Notre Dame running back Jeremiah Love ran a four point three six forty yard dash at the NFL Combine.

I think Jeremiah Love consensus entered the NFL Combine as a top ten hopeful draft pick, but I would say his ceiling was somewhere just inside the top ten and his floor was maybe somewhere in the late teens, especially with how teams have valued running back in the draft as of late.

I think at Notre Dame he didn't see a ton of carries.

He fell short of two hundred carries in back-to-back seasons.

Only one carry short of two hundred last year.

And that was pretty excusable given that his backfield teammate, Jadarian Price, also looks like a day two pick in this running back class as well.

But I think a big way for him to erase what is a minor yellow flag, but a notable yellow flag in his profile, was to come out and crush the combine.

That's exactly what he did.

At six foot, two twelve, a four three six gives him ninety-ninth percentile size-adjusted speed.

As the kids would say, he's just built different.

This combine probably moved his ceiling up to maybe the top five.

The Giants have really been broadcasting that they want to add to their backfield.

Cam Scatty-Bowes, awesome as a rookie, also suffered a catastrophic injury they picked just inside the top five.

I think that's probably now the ceiling for him, and we're looking at almost certainly a top ten floor.

Teams towards the back end of the top ten, looking at you, Kansas City, I think could very much justify spending even a, a high-end first-round pick at running back.

So of course, keep it locked to Rotoworld for all the biggest rookie updates as we head into free agency and the NFL Draft, of course, headlined by Jeremiah Love.
