So, Jacob Wilson left early.
I know it was a left-hand contusion.
Is that all there is at this point with him?
X-rays were negative.
Obviously, it'd be day to day for Jacob.
You know, I haven't spoken to him, but, I got that message down in the dugout during the game.
How do you see today's outing for Gage?
I know it probably end- was frustrating with that homer to end it, but, five scoreless before that.
What do you think just overall of his outing?
Yeah, overall, I thought it was gr- a solid outing.
He, he probably didn't have, you know, the best command of everything tonight.
But I thought he, he worked that lineup really well.
You know, the, the at bat that kind of hurt him with the three-nothing lead was the walk to Seager, right?
That, you know, that, 3-2 pitch, you know, executed.
Regardless, it, like, we talk a lot about solo home runs not hurting us, but a walk, a hit, and then the three-run homer is, is, is what we're trying to avoid.
So he knows that.
Obviously, he was, he was upset by that.
But, I thought after that point, the bullpen did a great job, and, offense added on.
That's been the recipe.
You've talked this week about McNeil and just his last month, how he's been swinging.
How fun was it to see him today with those four hits, almost a cycle as well?
Yeah, no, it's great.
He's having fun playing baseball right now.
And that's the Jeff that we saw early.
Obviously, you know, hopefully that's the Jeff we'll see over the next, until the end of the season.
So he's taking some great at bats.
You know, we moved him up to the top of the order and, and he's answered that and, and done a nice job up there.
Yeah, Gage, 100-plus pitches for first time in his career to- back to back.
How much you think it had to do with the, program you guys are doing between starts with him to give him more energy?
Yeah, he's definitely feeling better.
You know, he had an extra day from, from the Boston game.
And, now he's got to bounce back on regular rest, so we'll definitely monitor that.
But I think, he's, he's obviously, you know, made some adjustments to the routine a little bit and, I think he's feeling great.
Yeah.
And, could you talk about, the job of the bullpen, especially when the game was close?
Yeah, I thought Medina did a great job coming in.
Ram Alvarado and, and obviously Hogan.
Hogan's first at bat, I think it was a 13 or 12 pitch at bat.
But I thought he settled back down and, and, did a nice job.
So again, the biggest at bat was probably the Pederson at bat that Alvarado, you know, executed pitches, missed on a fastball away.
We talk a lot about getting beat to the big part or opposite field here in this park.
It was an executed pitch.
And then he took care of Lpez after that.
So I thought he did a nice job managing kind of around Joc and, and getting to the, the, the hitter behind.
There in the first inning, Corts, that bases-clearing double.
Can you maybe just talk about maybe that as a momentum changer- Yeah for you guys that, you know, potentially not scoring any runs there, him coming up with that big hit?
Yeah, no, it's always great to get a lead, to, to play with a lead.
You know, I think there's momentum to that as we talk about, Gage putting up a zero in the first inning, getting out of a bases-loaded jam and, and then the offense answering and, and giving him three runs of support.
