Merab Dvalishvili to face ex-UFC lightweight champ at RAF 9

Real American Freestyle booked Merab Dvalishvili to face former UFC champion Frankie Edgar at RAF 9 on May 30 in Dallas after a previously canceled bout. The organization announced Monday that Merab Dvalishvili vs. Frankie Edgar is set for RAF 9, airing on Fox Nation. Real American Freestyle's card is headlined by Gable Steveson vs. Alexander Romanov, with Colby Covington vs. Chris Weidman in the co-main event. Dvalishvili, known for relentless pace and grappling, relinquished the UFC bantamweight crown to Petr Yan at UFC 323 in December and is expected to receive a rematch. Edgar, a former lightweight titleholder, last saw a scheduled return scrapped at BKFC 82.
