He outlined plans tailored for Petr Yan and described the approach as "working smart" ahead of a possible UFC bantamweight title meeting. Their 2023 Fight Night bout featured Dvalishvili's record takedown attempts and a decision win; last year Yan neutralized much of the wrestling to earn a unanimous decision, leveling the rivalry 1-1.
