Sean Strickland considers Yaroslav Amosov a better grappler than Khamzat Chimaev

UFC middleweight champion Sean Strickland said training partner Yaroslav Amosov has better grappling than Khamzat Chimaev, highlighting a notable evaluation from recent rounds. Strickland made the remarks while helping Johnny Eblen prepare at American Top Team in Florida, where Amosov also trains. Amosov reacted on his YouTube channel, calling Strickland a hard partner and champion. Strickland defeated Chimaev by decision at UFC 328 this past May after Chimaev fatigued and moved away from a wrestling-heavy approach. Amosov left Bellator MMA following a 2023 loss to Jason Jackson, then joined the UFC and has finished both opponents by submission, including Joel Alvarez on the Chimaev–Strickland undercard.
