Mark Vientos drove in the go-ahead run in the 8th inning, and Luke Weaver struck out three as the Mets beat the Twins 3-2 and ended their 12 game losing streak. New York got back in the win column for the first time since April 7th against the Diamondbacks.

Juan Soto has missed the last 15 games.

The Mets have missed him badly, and Soto's back tonight.

And Larnach comes home with the tying run.

And he lines one toward the gap in right center field.
That's gonna rumble between them and all the way to the wall.
Lindor heading for third.
He's gonna be waved around.
The relay throw to the plate by Keeshel, and Lindor is safe.
I felt like he was laboring coming around, like he just didn't have full gear working.
So that's something to keep our eye on.
And we just got word on Francisco Lindor.
He left tonight's game with left calf tightness.
Oh, gee.
And Buxton drills one to deep left field, and that's gonna tie the game.
Buxton in the sixth inning for the second straight night.

Luke Weaver gets a king-sized out of the top of the eighth to keep this game tied.
Vientos bloops one shallow right that they fall, and it does for a base hit.

He scores the go-ahead run.
Mets lead it three to two.
All it takes is a little dork to right field by Mark Vientos to put the Mets in front in the eighth.

Came upstairs with a fastball after setting him up with the change-ups.

He struck him out, and the ballgame is over.
And for the first time in more than two weeks, the Mets can shake hands.
That insidious 12-game losing streak has finally come to an end.
