Micah Parsons Knows What He Wants in a New DC for Green Bay Packers
Micah Parsons reveals his singular requirement for the Green Bay Packers' next defensive coordinator.

Alright, so Jeff Hafley is the new def- Well, I was gonna say he's the new defense.
Coordinator.
He's the new head coach of the Miami Dolphins.
So the Green Bay Packers now have what I think is a tough task to replace him.
Was Hafley elite?
No, I don't think so.
Um, you know, was he the greatest defensive coordinator since?
You know, Prime Vic Fangio?
No, but he did a really good job for the Packers.
And, uh, he'll be missed.
So, what do the Packers do?
Who do they turn to?
Uh, they've got a couple in-house options.
The one that really intrigues me is DeMarcus.
Covington, formerly the defensive coordinator of the New England Patriots, came over to be the defensive line coach under Hafley, run game coordinator.
I think, though, if you were asking me, and I know everybody's gonna stump for the one that really makes sense for them, but for me, Former Atlanta Falcons head coach, former Tampa Bay Buccaneers head coach former Super Bowl-winning defensive coordinator of the Los Angeles Rams, Raheem Morris.
I think he's the guy we gotta keep an eye on.
If I were making the decision, which I'm not, and that's probably, thank God, for the Packers, But he'd probably be my first call.
One, he and LaFleur have coached for, for four seasons.
They coached together two seasons in Washington.
And then LaFleur was on the staff in Los Angeles under McVay.
So, they know each other.
LaFleur said they're really good friends.
In fact, LaFleur said that he is one of his best friends.
Morris has not worked out as a head coach, but you don't need to be a good head coach to be a good defensive coordinator.
His players love him.
Uh, the players in Atlanta were stumping to keep him.
Even before he was fired.
So, he didn't work out as a head coach?
That happens.
Some people are just coordinators.
So I'd be really intrigued to see if the Packers came to interview him and what that would look like.
