Mike McDaniel Out of Running for Buccaneers Offensive Coordinator
The Los Angeles Chargers land offensive mastermind Mike McDaniel, leaving the Tampa Bay Buccaneers to search elsewhere for their next offensive coordinator.

Bucs fans who wanted Mike McDaniel to be the team's next OC will be disappointed.
This is Joe Smeltzer for Bucs Roundtable.
McDaniel, per Adam Schefter, is expected to be the next OC for Jim Harbaugh & the Los Angeles Chargers.
Although this will be disappointing to Bucs fans, It shouldn't be a surprise.
It was reported earlier that McDaniel would Prefer to be an offensive coordinator for a winning organization than head coach.
Losing one.
He seemed to confirm that Tuesday evening when It was reported that he had taken himself out of the running for the Cleveland Browns head coaching job, and McDaniel further confirmed that taking the Chargers job.
The Chargers have made the playoffs in each of The past two seasons, have their franchise QB in place with Justin Herbert.
But the past two postseasons have only amounted to one game for LA.
And both of those games were lost, with the Chargers scoring a combined 15 points.
McDaniel's the type of guy who could help fix that.
He made the playoffs twice as an NFL head coach and as an offensive coordinator.
Helped the 49ers get to an NFC title game, and Deebo Samuel become a first-team All-Pro.
It's a big get for Jim Harbaugh and the Chargers, and for the Bucs.
So, if McDaniel was the guy they wanted, it's back to the drawing board.
There are still seven candidates left who interviewed for the job.
And this is something Todd Bowles is used to.
He's had to look for a new OC in each of his Now four offseasons as head coach.
Some of them have been great, With Dave Canales and William Cohen both getting NFL head coaching jobs.
But then there's Josh Grisard, who, not so much this year.
