Former Dolphins head coach, Mike McDaniel, is expected to be named the Chargers' offensive coordinator.
For those who need a refresher on Mike McDaniel, specifically the fantasy and bio aspects of Mike McDaniel.
Because that's kind of what I care about when he's going to the Chargers.
Tua Tagovailoa led the NFL in 2022 in touchdown rate, in yards per attempt.
In yards per completion.
Almost any fancy, nerdy metric that we use to see how efficient our players are.
Tua led the NFL in 2022.
Then, in terms of total production, he leads the NFL in passing yards.
Straight up, in 2023, and then the offense starts to change a little bit.
It's changed multiple times during Mike McDaniel's era there.
But it started to change a little bit to a lot of checkdowns, But in 2024, he leads the NFL in completion rate.
In so many different ways, Tua was efficient, productive, and he really... For what we care about, got awesome fantasy results out of his teammates.
It all comes apart in 2025.
It's partially Mike McDaniel's fault for not continuing to adjust.
And it's partially Tua's fault, as we can all agree there as well.
I do think Mike McDaniel is brought in to bring some of that efficiency to game.
I think if he can bring that sort of 2022 2023 era of Dolphins offense to the Chargers, it's gonna be special.
We're looking at wheels up for guys like Quentin Johnston.
Ladd McConkie, Marion Hampton, and Ronde Gadsden.
Keenan Allen, notably, is a free agent, and for Justin Herbert, I do think that this has to be the year for him in 2026.
