Yeah, definitely a huge honor.

I found out last night and, texted my parents to make the drive over.

I was excited.

I had a lot of fun out there.

Where are your parents from?

They're in Naples.

Oh, okay.

Yeah.

Yeah.

Did you get the first hit?

Yeah, I got the first hit.

Yeah.

What's this, spring been like for you overall?

honestly, I came in with an open mind.

You know, everyone talks about the grind of spring training, but they do such a good job of just making sure you're taking care of your hydration, hitting the training room, getting your recovery in, and so, you know, basically every day, taking care of your body and trying to develop as a player, it's been awesome.

Have you had a chance to interact with any of the big leaguers?

Yeah, yeah.

Anything stand out?

Everyone's just a good person.

Like, that's, that's really it at the, at the end of the day.

guys you wanna hang out around and just good people to be around.

A-as a fellow first-round pick with Carson just one year later, is there anything you can learn from him or be inspired about where he is at this-- going into the spring?

Yeah.

Me and, me and Benge, we talk a lot and, you know, just little, little bits of advice here and there just come out through conversation, but he's great.

He's-- I mean, he's, he's doing what he's, what he's doing out there for a reason.

He's good.

Yeah.

Is there anything that surprised you about this spring?

Obviously, only been up here a couple times, but just the whole experience overall.

Yeah, I mean, it's just I've had a great time.

Like I, I-- obviously, I said I came into it with an open mind, and I'm, I'm really happy about the way it's going.

Do you have any goals for the twenty twenty-six season overall for yourself?

I'm taking everything day by day, taking spring training day by day, and you know, when the season comes around, I'm gonna be the same person.
