Utah Mammoth is a very interesting team to me.
I think Logan Cooley is a great player.
I think Keller is really underrated for points, but to me, The big name is Dylan Gunther.
I love this kid.
Um, I think he can score 40 goals.
I don't know if it's this season.
But at some point, he's gonna do it.
The big question for me is goalkeepers.
Now that Connor Ingraham is back, how does this goalie rotation shake out?

Um, I don't think scoring is a problem here.

Like, this is another team where there's like 67 players you can easily take Barrett Hayden.
I like him on a personal level.
I don't know if he'll be fantasy relevant.
Um, Sergeev is great.

I think Vejjamelka did enough last year.
Earns the first opportunity.
Ingram, granted, looked like he had all the personal issues, but he was also struggling a little bit Before, unfortunately, he was silent, and granted.
He might have been dealing with a whole bunch of personal stuff that was going on then, That forced his absence.
So, I take that with a grain of salt.
But I do think Vejmelka gets the first chance.
If he falters, then they turn to Ingram.
But if youre asking me who I think is the number one goalie right now, I think it's Vejmelka.
I think it's a 1A1B system.
I don't think there is a true Number 1.
I think they're going to split it evenly.
Um.
So, its a kind of goaltending tandem where you Roster both guys.
And ideally, right?
Yeah, go based on who's playing.
OK, yeah, I can see that.
I think it depends on how.
How deep is your life, right?
Youre not, if you have to say it depends How many goalies do you have, for example, from my league?
I told you: 8 teams, 32 players, max 5 goalies, and we did it on purpose because we Wanted to leave you guys out on the Are you, if you have five goalies, Are you using 2 of your 5 spots for both Utah goalies?
It again depends on what your options are, but yes, I think I would, because I think its more valuable to get, You know, you're pretty much guaranteed a minimum of 82 games for the OR Maximum for the season.
Now, if you're in a weekly format, Does that change your view?
In other words, Daily is different, right?
In our league, you can't stream guys in and out.
Youve got to have guys sit for a few days purposely to avoid the streaming, Streaming, streaming, and out.
You gotta sit, guys, for like five days Can play.
We don't make them sit a week, but I'm in a Roto, I'm in a head-to-head league; that's a weekly.
Can you roster both guys, and then how do you decide which guy you're putting In for the week?
So, when you say weekly, Do you mean you can't change your roster daily?
OK, you're locked in, then no, because the opportunity cost is too high.
Between these two guys, there are 40 wins, right?
So, it's something related to formatting.
Question depends on what you use, right?
So that's what we're suggesting is, First of all, always know your format, right?
And this is one of those things where if youre Daily league, yeah, you keep both because you can pop guys in almost like a DFS-type thing.
If it's a weekly format where you must set your lineup before the week begins, That's where it gets a bit dicier, because it's a bit more questionable whether or not it Makes sense to do it now, or you take a flyer and say, I believe this guy is going to be goalie, and you grab him, then see if he's out.
The other goalies out there, and you try to grab him on waivers.
Though.
You know, depending on your league format, Your depth?
He's likely not going out there, but if you're going to, you have to, In my opinion, if you're making a call, Vejmelka is my number one.
And right now, Ingram is my No.
2.

I think we all agree Vitek Vanecek is not An option.
He's a third goalie.

Uh, last question before we move on to Utah, because I think thats like the biggest Question that we have, right?
Like to me, Sergeyev is the undisputed power-play quarterback.
Jersey is going to be the second guy.
Um, I don't think Jersey's gonna play ahead of him.
Um, but let's say Clayton Keller's gone.
Who's your second pick from Utah?
Well, I think you said it already.

Well, Dylan Gunther is one.

Oh, OK, Gunther.
Uh, not Logan Cooleyinteresting.
I thought I loved Logan.
Logan Cooley, but if youre talking pure goal scorer, gun, No, I like it; I'll put it this way: goal scoring, I'm probably, Probably a slight edge to Gunther, all-around scorer, Logan Cooley.
No question.
But goals are harder to come by.
If you ask me, a guy who could score 40, Dylan Gunther is a guy I think could score 40.
I think Cooley is a guy who gets you 30, but I think Cooley is a guy who's gonna get you 70.
75 points, right?
JJ Paturk is another name that could be a guy.
Um, there's a part of me that thinks this trade might have backfired on Utah.
It just seems like they have too much of the same thing.
Oh, what did they give up?
Well, I just meant that Utah is not short on young scorers.
No, but I think anytime you can add more of that, it's a good sign.
They gave up Michael Casselring and Josh Stone.
Yeah, I think Castle Ring is a great fit for the Sabres.
I do think the Sabres dont really need Perco with Quinn and, And coolly coming up.
So, I think part of it depends on how healthy Jersey is.
Because Jersey could be your second-unit power play captain, Right?
Jersey and Ian Cole are an OK second pairing.
Look, I think Kelsey rings a lot better.
I think Doan's fine.
I'm not a looker, Josh Doan to me doesn't make or break whether or not you'd make the deal.
Right?
I mean, Kesseling.
Played well with the extra minutes he got last year.
I do think Sergeyev is their clear No.
1 blue liner by far.
I don't think any of us question that.
I do think Jersey could be your second-unit power-play guy.
And I think a third pairing of Mata and Schmidt is not bad.
It's not great, but I think it's okay pairing for your third pairing, But I do think they are a little short on the Blue Line.
If they're gonna, if they're gonna look to move somebody at the, Let's say if they're in contention, and they need to move somebody, I do think they have guys they could trade to try to uplift their blue line if they had to.
Mhm.
They have some interesting prospects or young Players on the backend, so like, uh, Scott Perunovich, maybe he gets a final, Uh, a chance, finally.
Maverick Lamaru, I think they really like it.
As well.
Um, but, uh, I mean, I think Simischef He's the guy to me, the one to target down the road.
Yeah, clearly to be the guy who's gonna step up.
Peruvi to me has now he's on his 3rd team, maybe the third time is a charm.
I thought on the island he was going to have a shot, but he didn't impress at all.
And, you know, he kind of kept saying he's the next guy up in St. Louis.
He's the next guy up in St. Louis, and just could never break through.
Yeah, that's why I think time's running out to target down the road.
Yeah, Purka, though, I think is a sneaky late sort of round pickup, because I think he's gonna do really well with.
Second-line minutes and second-line matchups while paired with Barrett Hayden, Nick Schmaltz, Keller, Cooley, whoever, um, I'd be very high on him, and I think a guy for deeper, deeper leagues is Kraus, just because You love bangers, right?
He's 175-point hits and could get 30 points, which is not bad value, and he's a solid third line guy.
I mean, he's the perfect, prototypical third line.
Guy on that team, I think, yeah, he had a really down season.
Tana has the hits, but Kraus has some goalscoring in him, for sure.
Tanner hits and blocks, which I think is big for forwards.
And then maybe 60 games because he runs his, I mean, you look at McBain, and, And Kraus are two guys who'll reach 200+ hit speeds, potentially.
Yeah, I mean, I loved McBain and Dane at least last year.
Saved my butt a bunch of times last season.
