Look up underrated in the dictionary, and you just might find Tyrone Tracy's photo next to it.
OK, maybe that's a stretch, but Tracy has become something of an afterthought in the Giants' backfield, overshadowed by fan favorite Cam Scatabo.
Yet quietly, Tracy's been getting better across the board.
After a rocky rookie year with 5 fumbles, Tracy cut that down to just 1 in 2025.
His yards per carry improved.
His success rate on the ground and through the air improved.
This is a back trending in the right direction.
Despite missing two games to injury, Tracy still led the Giants in rushing with 740 yards and two touchdowns to go along with that.
And he also added 36 receptions for 288 yards and 2 more scores through the air.
Back to back 1000 yard scrimmage seasons, that's not an afterthought, that's production.
He's not a bruiser.
That's where Scatabo comes in.
But Tracy's vision, quickness, and receiving background makes him a nightmare in space, especially on 3rd downs and in 2-minute offenses.
Enter 2026's Thunder and Lightning backfield.
Scattabo bringing the power, Tracy bringing the burst, with Bruiser, fullback Pat McCard clearing the way.
Expect Scatabo to get the bulk of the carries, but Tracy's role, receiving 3rd downs, even kick returns, isn't going anywhere.
Underrated, baby, Essential to the offense, absolutely.
