One player for the Cincinnati Bengals is leaving football to pursue... ACTING?!?

The Bengals had an additional star on the roster this off season, just not in the way that you're thinking.
Cornerback Sierra Wright was one of the dozen or so undrafted free agents the Bengals signed following the 2026 NFL draft.
He played college football at both USC and then Nebraska as his final team.
He played 38 snaps in the preseason opener Thursday, and then Friday night he calls Zac Taylor and tells him that he is going to leave the team.
So Saturday, the team officially announces that he has been placed on the exempt left squad list as he is, quote, "Pursuing other opportunities."
And if you didn't know, Sierra J. Wright is a Hollywood actor, or an aspiring Hollywood actor who's already cut his teeth on some major projects, including the Space Jam sequel as LeBron James' son.
And he landed a lead role in an unknown, quote, "big movie" that will start filming in October.
And obviously, it's gonna be impossible to do that and potentially play in the NFL.
Now, as far as the Bengals go, this is not a tremendous loss by any means.
I don't think Sierra Wright was making the 53-man roster.
He would've had to really shown out in the preseason in order to make that happen.
But I could have easily seen him make the practice squad and earn a decent living there, but he's been acting for longer than he's been playing high level football, and this seems like something that he's truly pursuing full-time now.
So good luck to Sierra Wright.
