Oregon Ducks discuss players continuing to improve after big seasons

Oregon Ducks Coach Dan Lanning discusses players continuing to improve after big seasons. Lanning talks about players such as Running Back Dierre Hill, Wide Receiver Dakorien Moore, and Wide Receiver Jeremiah McClellan and how they made an impact but they need to continue to improve.

Video Transcript

Last year, a lot of the players just talked about how, uh, getting some other players that didn't have much experience, kind of up to the Oregon standard this year, especially in the trenches when you're returning a lot of experience, um, how will that competition during spring practice be able to kind of impact, um, start of the season this fall?

Yes, this program is built on competition, right, and that'll be, you know, a huge piece for us moving forward.

That in the back.

How does Dier and DeCorian build off such such successful first years and just what's that jump you see a, a, a one-year player take typically to a second year in the program?

Yeah, I mean, I, I think you've seen it within our program for several guys before, um, you know, whether that's, you know, Jeremiah McClellan this past season, like, it's, it's up to them.

They gotta go attack the work and they got to know that they're not the best version of themselves yet.

So, you know, guys like Decorian, guys like Deer, all those guys that were able to make an impact, you know, this year, Brandon Finney, like, That's, that's a big piece of them, right?

That's what they have to be intern internally and intrinsically motivated to go and prove, and, you know, I think those guys are wired the right way to do that.
