Parsons expected to miss first month on PUP list
Mike Florio explains what to make of the Green Bay Packers moving Micah Parsons to the Reserve/PUP list and explores how likely his expected Week 6 return timeline is.

I mentioned reserve PUP, another defensive player who arguably is the best in the league, or at least one of the very best, Micah Parsons.
He will be on the reserve PUP list to start the season.
He suffered the torn ACL week 15 of last year on Sunday, December 14, the same day Patrick Mahomes suffered his torn ACL, and it's been pointing in this direction all along.
He'll miss the first four weeks.
He's been talking about a week six return.
That's a Sunday night Cowboys at Packers game.
We could have Aaron Donald back Monday night against the Bills in primetime, and then six days later we could have Micah Parsons back facing the team that traded him last year, almost one year to the day, to the Green Bay Packers.
You know, it's trickier when you're talking about a linebacker.
They're in the middle of that scrum, all the bodies flying around.
You've got to be 100% to jump into that fray.
You've got to be able to trust that knee, that new ligament completely.
So it took a little more time for him and will take a little more time for him, and that's fine.
Parsons said at some point in the past several months he's thinking more about the end of the season, being ready to go when they get to the postseason, if they get there.
They've made it each of the last three years, but each of the last three years the Packers have been the seven seed.
So they're making it by the skin of their teeth, and last year they were on pace to win the division until they lost Parsons and it felt like the bottom dropped out for the Green Bay Packers.
So they're counting on him being back at some point and riding it out for the rest of the season, and maybe they can finish on a stronger note in 2026.
So Parsons out for at least four weeks, and then we'll see what happens after that
