PL Update: Wolves howl back against Brentford

Time now for your Premier League update.
And welcome inside the studio, Paul Burmeister, alongside Tim Howard and Danny Higginbotham.
Brentford, Wolves treated us to a really good one.
Lots of action Monday at the Gtech.
But early on, it looked like all the highlights would belong to the Bees.
Well, it did, and I just love this play from Luis Potter.
Get the ball in, don't waste anything.
Get it across the face.
Michael Kayode does the rest.

He has to snap it into the bottom corner.
A lot of players miss this.

Yeah, and, and Igor Thiago, we see, we see him track Richarlison as well to take the ball down, but just vertical running.
When you get two strikers who see the goalkeeper get out of his feet, and they run fast, run faster and outrun the defenders, a lovely touch.
That touch is so sublime at pace like that.
Plays it into the path of Igor Thiago, who keeps himself onside, and at this point, 37 minutes, they're cruising two-nil.
They thought maybe this game is done and dusted.
From a long throw, Igor Thiago wide open, just comes for maybe a little too quickly.

There's actually a bad pass here from Krajcik to the goalkeeper, Jos S. He picks it up, which should be And you can see a couple of the Brentford players go, "Hang on a minute.

They get a f- little bit of fortune when the ball goes in here to the midfield.
You see Andre there turn.
It's a bit of a tackle, and when it falls to Belgar, he has a lot to do, but picks it up the other side of the center circle and drives.
Picks out Adam Armstrong, and he does the rest.
It's a really, really good finish.

The turn, again, little bit fortunate that the ball breaks from a back tackle.
But at this point, Belgar, tons of pace, picks out the right option.
Adam Armstrong goes from out to in, which helps make that pass.
But just have a look here.
This is what we were talking about.
This is a bad pass, a- and VAR and the referee just completely missed this.
I don't even know if they get it wrong.
I think they just completely miss it, 'cause they hadn't seen it.
You see here, even though Richarlison gets a touch, Krajcik's the last one to play intentionally back to his goalkeeper.
If they had seen that, they would've called a free kick there, but they didn't, they didn't catch it.
And Danny, Wolves came out swinging in the second half too.
They did, and they looked by far the better team in the second half.
I mean, Sa Armstrong, who I thought was really good all game, just gets a touch on it, but the post comes to the rescue for Brentford.
Just gets there before the defender, and he thinks he's equalized and got a second goal of the game.
But it wasn't to be, but it wasn't long until they did get their second goal of the game, and it's a substitute, Tolu, on the pitch for a very short amount of time, but just in the right place at the right time.
It's a good header, 'cause he has to generate the power himself.
Gets on the, gets on the wrong side of the Brentford defender, heads it down into the ground.
Keller has absolutely no chance.
And all of a sudden, it's 2-2, and then, once again, Tolu, I thought was really sharp when he came off the bench.
This ball that's put in, it's a wonderful header, and hits the crossbar.
And there's nothing Keller When you look at it, he just, he's watching and he's hoping.
But the woodwork comes to the rescue.
It's exactly what happens, but it's a another good effort.
And then you just see Brentford.
They think that they've got possibly a chance to win it in the last minute.
It comes to another substitute this time.
It's Reece Nelson, and he just headers it, but then he headers it against his shoulder, and that makes sure that it doesn't go anywhere near the goal.
But that was a huge chance for Brentford to win it late on.
In the end, one point apiece, handshakes, and hugs.
Wolves didn't quite get the win today, but came back from down two-nil in the first half to earn this draw.
A testament to the form Rob Edwards has this team in recently.
You look at their last six Premier League matches, their only loss came one-nil away at Crystal Palace, and they played four matches against the current top seven during this stretch.
Big-time progress for Wolves.
Top half of the table now.
Brentford three points behind sixth place Chelsea after the draw today, well on track for their best ever Premier League finish.
Then it's Liverpool in fifth, Aston Villa in fourth, with Manchester United making third place their own under Michael Carrick, and Man City nine points behind Arsenal in the title race.
In the bottom half of the table, all the attention is still on the relegation race.
Spurs very much still in danger, only one point above the drop zone, but they play 17th place Nottingham Forest this coming weekend.
West Ham level on points with Forest, but behind on goal difference.
Then it's Burnley and Wolves rounding out the bottom three.
