This is your first NFL offseason, I mean, after your, your first season.
Um, what did you, how did you change up your, um, your preparation this offseason to, to go into your second year?
Well, I think now just learning, knowing what to expect.
I mean, obviously, you're gonna train throughout the offseason, which I have, but now it's not so much of a surprise, and you know what you're getting into.
So a lot of emphasis on footwork but not doing too much to where you're gonna hurt yourself, you know, being smart about it.
Like I said, just knowing what you're gonna get out of a full long season.
Um, really helps with the preparation.
How much of your offseason did you spend to be self scouting when you're back, uh, at your first?
You know, maybe learn from maybe your case back in the playoffs a lot, you know, um, I wasn't always, I was not happy with how I played, uh, all the time last year, and there were times where I knew I had to be better and I knew I could be better.
So it was a lot of reflecting for me on what my weaknesses were and really trying to dive into that throughout OTAs throughout mandatory mini camp and now throughout training camp, you know, it was a lot of self-reflecting, a lot of self scouting, obviously.
Can you at times be your own worst critic?
Absolutely.
That's, uh, no one's gonna be harder on me than I am.
I'm gonna be on myself.
You know, it's, it's walking a fine line between, um, yeah, obviously you have to keep pushing yourself, but it gets to the point where you feel like you never satisfy even yourself no matter what .
So I've had to learn to balance that, but I always, you know, like I said, no one's gonna be harder on me than I am on myself because I want to be perfect.
I'm a perfectionist and you play an imperfect game and imperfect position.
So, um, it's, it's a balance for sure.
