What are some things that uh the team needs to clean up in the run game defending?
Um, I thought a run defense was really good tonight, you know, I thought, I thought they took a big step forward as a defense.
I thought they did a really good job.
Mike Washington continues to just shine and grind.
Would you talk about him , please?
Can I know you haven't seen the film, just what you saw from field level, please.
Um , you know, I see a very talented young man with a bright future ahead of him that, um, is extremely humble and hardworking.
So if he just keeps that mindset, he'll keep getting better.
He has plenty that he needs to improve on, and he knows that.
What went into playing Jalen Naylor with the starting offense tonight?
Yeah, just, uh, just was my decision, yeah.
Uh, you talked about last game, how important it was for your young secondary to get reps. Just what do you make of them kind of in preseason game two and how they improved?
Yeah, you know , last week we, you know, we had some problems and penalties.
I thought the coverage was sticky today.
Um, you know, I got to go watch the film, but.
This next game we just can't get these young guys enough reps because they're all going to be a part of us, uh, you know, part of us winning games this year.
So didn't see Jalen, whose decision was it?
Mine.
I didn't see, uh, Jack Besh out there.
Is he dealing with something, or was, was that just the decision not to play him as well?
No, that was, uh, we, we played him.
We just, he didn't , the ball didn't find him tonight.
Yeah, but, uh, you know, I think Jack, Jack got plenty of reps and this ball didn't find him tonight.
What did you, what did you like from Aiden in, in the 4th quarter there?
That's, that's who he is.
You know, he's at a really solid camp.
He's got limited reps, and when he goes in there, you know, he makes things happen.
He's a great leader of the offense, um, very calm young man, um, I'm not surprised that he had success there at the end of the end of the game.
