Raiders OL Spencer Burford Unpacking the New Offense

Raiders OL Spencer Burford Unpacking the New Offense

Video Transcript

Last thing in person with Kirk Cousins.

Kirk Cousins is an open dude, bro, um, real detailed, real funny guy, you know what I'm saying, uh, but as far as just making sure he, he does get the offense on one accord, as far as he, he makes it clear what he wants, um, as far as checks and, and nuances, as far as within the offense, he makes sure that he puts guys in the right position, and, uh, and if he's wrong, he has no, he has no, no, I would say.

He has no ego.

He still pats his chest, you know what I'm saying?

If it's something that he does, he'll try to check out a bit or something like that.

But as far as making the right adjustments, as far as putting people in the right place, making sure that the offense is a fluid, fluid machine, he does everything he can.

Uh, what do you like about Clint Kubiak?

I love Clint Kubiak as the head coach.

Um, like I said, like he, he wants a standard.

The standard is clear as far as what he wants, and , uh, what I like about it is, um, he keeps everybody on the same page, and he makes it clear.

That's the big thing as far as just making everything clear on the same base and making sure everybody's on the same court, moving in the same direction from the upstairs staff, from his coaching staff to the players.

He just tries to make sure that we're all going towards the goal, which is to win the Super.

You said you did your homework, uh, with the O-line coaches and, and what you could be a part of here.

I'm, I'm curious when you look at what could be with Ashton in the back, and I know it's exciting, bro.

I'm not gonna lie.

Just Ashton, just, just the type of style and athlete that he is, the, the style of the way he runs the ball, how hard he runs, um, and the way he makes certain cuts, his vision as far as hitting the hole, uh, and then, you know, once he gets in the back end, it is what it is at that point, so.

Uh, good luck trying to tackle him, bro.

But just, in all honesty, bro , I'm, I'm excited to see where we can take this off and Mike Watson, and, you know, you're saying he's got a 1, 12, and it even the guys behind them, you know what I'm saying, all the nuances within the, the scheme and the fit, uh, the play calling that we have right now, the plays that we got, it, it is nice.

I'm eager to see how it's gonna be set up in the game for sure.
